To the members of Locust Grove & Marlboroughville Litterary [sic] association,

Esteemed Friends, Having been sometime ago informed that there was an artacle [sic] in the possession of the examining committee in the form of a [??] to an artacle read before the association by the Butcher Boy upon the subject of “Natures Materia Medica,” and knowing that it will be as much as impossible to be present at the next regular meeting, I would ask the Lyceum to defer the reading of this artacle to some future time,
